Fortnite Loadouts: Best Slot Order in 2026
Stop filling slots with clutter. Ranked loadouts are a spine: close gun, mid gun, mobility, heals, then one flex.
The four-slot spine
Slot 1 shotgun (or close SMG in some metas). Slot 2 AR. Slot 3 mobility. Slot 4 heals. Flex is slot 5: sniper, utility, or extra heals.
This matches how fights actually happen: close panic, then mid spray, then leave. See the weapon tier list after each patch.
Zero Build vs Build tweaks
Zero Build: keep a mid AR you can beam with. Mobility matters more because you cannot box. Read Build vs Zero Build.
Build: shotgun timing still wins boxes. Do not carry three ARs. One close, one mid is enough.
