Fortnite Reboot Guide: Safer Revive Plays
Reboots win games and also throw them. Go to the van with a plan, or play the 2-v-3 and live.
When to reboot at all
Reboot if the van is close, zone is kind, and you have heals. Skip it if storm is bad, you are low, and two teams are already crashing.
A live 2-player team with loot beats a 3-player team that dies at the van. Ranked is not a loyalty test.
How to take the van
Heal first. Clear the immediate box. One player holds an angle. One interacts. Do not all stand in the van light.
Leave as soon as the card starts. The reboot is not a campfire. Third parties time the audio.
Radar-style awareness helps on PC overlays — see Radar — but the habit is still “hold, tap, leave.”
After they land
Give the returning teammate a gun and heals. Do not start a 50/50 in the open while they drop from the sky.
Then rotate like a full squad again. Use storm rotates so the reboot was not for a storm death.
