Fortnite Storm Guide: Rotate Early, Win Late
Most ranked deaths are late rotates, not bad aim. Leave early, take an edge, and stop sprinting through the open.
Leave before you must
If you start the rotate when the storm is already on your heels, you will silhouette on the edge and get sprayed. Leave while you still have a choice of path.
Pick a side, not the center. Center is a blender. Edges give cover and info. Tournament film in our tournament meta post shows this every week.
Paths that survive third parties
Use terrain, buildings, and vehicles. Do not cut the widest open field. Zero Build players should ladder cover — aggression guide.
If you hear a fight on your path, go around or wait. Walking into two teams is how 4th places happen.
Drop plan still matters. A bad landing with no exit makes every storm worse — drop spots.
Endgame is a side pick
Late circles reward the team that arrived first and held an angle. That is why ranked climb feels “lucky” when it is actually early movement — ranked climb.
